Playing Safely with Match15

22 Sep 2026

Gambling should be a form of entertainment and should always stay within limits that are comfortable for you.

Match15 provides a range of tools to help you stay in control of how much you spend and how long you play. You can find these under the Safe Gaming section of My Account.

Set a Budget Limit

Budget Limits allow you to decide how much you can deposit or spend over a set period.

You can choose between a Spend Limit and a Deposit Limit, and set your limit on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

A Spend Limit controls the maximum amount you can stake during your chosen period, while a Deposit Limit controls how much you can add to your account.

New spending limits take effect immediately. If you remove an existing limit or change the amount, the change may take up to 24 hours to take effect.

Match15 Support cannot alter limits you've set yourself.

Set a Reality Check

It's easy to lose track of time when you're playing, so Reality Checks can be used to remind you how long you've been active.

Under My Account → Safe Gaming → Reality Checks, you can choose how long you'd like to play before receiving a reminder.

You can also add your own personal alert message. Once your chosen period has passed, your Reality Check notification will appear, giving you an opportunity to stop and take a break.

Take a Timeout

If you'd like a temporary break from gambling, you can activate a Personal Timeout.

Timeouts are available for a range of periods from 24 hours up to five months. While your Timeout is active, you won't be able to access your Match15 account until the selected period has ended.

You can activate a Timeout through My Account → Safe Gaming → Personal Timeout.

You can also request a Timeout by contacting support@match15.com. If contacting Support, you'll need to provide your full name, address, date of birth and the length of break you'd like to take.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel you need a longer break from gambling, you can choose to self-exclude.

Self-Exclusion is available for a set period from six months up to a permanent exclusion, and can be activated through My Account → Safe Gaming → Self Exclusion.

Once activated, you won't be able to access your account, play or deposit during the selected period. A Self-Exclusion cannot be reversed before that period has ended.

You can also request Self-Exclusion by contacting support@match15.com with your full name, address and date of birth.

If you're considering self-exclusion, you may also want to register with GAMSTOP, a free service that allows you to self-exclude from online gambling companies licensed in Great Britain.

Recognising when gambling may be becoming a problem

Sometimes it can be difficult to recognise when gambling has stopped being entertainment.

Some signs to look out for include:

  • Viewing gambling as a way of making money rather than entertainment

  • Chasing losses or gambling to try to solve financial problems

  • Spending more money or time gambling than you can afford

  • Finding it difficult to manage or stop your gambling

  • Feeling anxious, worried, guilty, depressed or irritable because of gambling

  • Gambling taking priority over work, family, responsibilities or activities you previously enjoyed

  • Borrowing money, selling possessions or failing to pay bills to fund gambling

  • Lying about or hiding your gambling from other people

  • Arguing with family or friends about money and gambling

If you recognise any of these signs, consider taking a break and seeking support.
