There’s more than one way to play on Match15.
Some games follow football live as it happens, while others let you jump into previous matches and gameweeks whenever you want. There are also games where you select your own teams and compete to finish at the top of a leaderboard.
Here’s a breakdown of the different Match15 game types and how they work.
Soccer Live
Soccer Live is played alongside a live football match, with the action on the pitch automatically reflected on your card.
Each card contains 15 match events: six relating to one team, six to the other and three that can relate to either team or the match as a whole.
As those events happen during the match, they're automatically ticked off on your card.
The aim is to complete 1 Line, 2 Lines or a Full House before the other players. Some games may also feature an Anytime Full House, giving you another opportunity to win after the main Full House has been completed.
Soccer Live games also include Nudges, giving you a limited number of opportunities to swap an event on your card for another of a similar likelihood.
Best for: Following a live match and having something riding on more than just the final score.
Bingoals
Bingoals takes the same idea of completing lines but spreads the action across a group of football matches taking place at the same time.
Instead of individual match events, your card contains 15 randomly assigned teams. Whenever one of your teams scores, it's automatically ticked off.
Your aim is to be the first to complete 1 Line, 2 Lines or a Full House. Some Bingoals games may also include an Anytime Full House.
With goals from several matches contributing to the same card, one goal elsewhere can completely change how close you are to winning.
Best for: Following the goals across several matches at once.
Goal Rush
Goal Rush is all about selecting teams that you think will score the most goals.
You have a £200m budget to select 15 teams, with teams given different values based on their expected strength. Every goal scored by one of your selected teams contributes towards your total.
Rather than completing lines, Goal Rush uses a leaderboard. Your aim is to finish with the highest combined goal total, with prizes available for the top finishing positions.
Longer Goal Rush competitions can also include Nudges at certain points. These allow you to replace a team with another from the same tier. Goals your outgoing team has already scored remain part of your total, while your new team's goals count from the point you bring them in.
Joining after a competition has started? Where available, the Automiser can create a 15-team selection for you within the required team tiers.
Best for: Picking your own teams and competing over a longer period.
Weekly Goal Rush
Weekly Goal Rush is a shorter version of Goal Rush played across a single week of football.
You still have a £200m budget to select 15 teams, and every goal those teams score contributes towards your total.
The difference is that once the week's action begins, your selection is locked. There are no Nudges or team changes, so the 15 teams you start with remain your selection until the final fixture has been played.
The player with the strongest goal total finishes highest on the leaderboard.
Best for: Putting together your 15 teams and seeing how they perform across the week's football.
Bingoals Now
Don't want to wait for the next round of fixtures? Bingoals Now lets you play the Bingoals format using previous football action.
You're randomly assigned 15 teams from a previous set of fixtures, with their goals then played through automatically.
Just like Bingoals, you're looking to complete 1 Line, 2 Lines or a Full House before the other players.
There are no Nudges or team changes in Bingoals Now, so your card is fixed once you've entered.
Games run throughout the day, making it an option when you want to play without waiting for live football.
Best for: The Bingoals experience whenever you want it.
Quick Games
Quick Games take the Soccer Live format and condense it using previous football matches.
Your card contains 15 events from a previous match, with events automatically ticked off as the action plays through.
As with Soccer Live, you're looking to complete the winning combinations on your card. Unlike Soccer Live, there are no Nudges, so the events you're given remain fixed for the whole game.
With a new Quick Game starting regularly, you don't need to wait for a live match to get underway.
Best for: A faster version of the Match15 live-match experience.
Which Match15 game should I play?
It depends on how you want to follow the football.
If you're watching a match live and want every event to matter, Soccer Live follows the action as it happens. If you're keeping an eye on goals across several fixtures, Bingoals puts them all onto one card.
If you'd rather choose the teams yourself and compete based on how many goals they score, Goal Rush and Weekly Goal Rush offer a different style of game built around your own selections and the leaderboard.
And when there isn't any live football — or you simply don't want to wait — Bingoals Now and Quick Games let you jump into previous football action instead.
Individual games can have different prizes and features, so always check the How It Works before playing for the full details of the game you've selected.
